Puppy Raising
Jake was given to me by the Guide Dog Foundation for the blind in New York. I will have for a year and I am responsible for raising Jake in a loving (heh,heh) invoriment and do basic training.
Sit,Stay,Down,Stand,Heel,Forward,Halt...HOUSE BREAKING!!!
But the biggest part of Puppy Raising is the Exposures.
Which means Jake goes with us EVERYWHERE!! In stores and such like.
It really is a fun thing to do,we are lucky that in NC there is law that says Guide Pups in traing are allowed any where a fully trained Guide Dog is allowed!!
Being a Puppy Raiser is Fun,for the most part. We love Jake and will miss him when's he's gone but hopefully he will make it to become a Guide Dog!!
