Doing Research...Help Me?

Hi everyone,
So over the last few weeks, I've been mulling some different thoughts around in my mind, and have been wanting to do a research project on it, and what better time, when I'm in school, up to my ears in  research projects anyways?!

I have my own experiences, but given that I've only had seven puppies in the last four years, I don't think my findings would be enough to base a claim on. (Oh main I've been taking statistics much too long.)

I'm not going to reveal the MAIN purpose of this survey until I get some data.. (at least 60 responses? So PLEASE tell your friends!) But I think the results should be VERY interesting.

So could you PLEASEEEEE fill it out really quickly? FOR ME!? You can submit for as many dogs as you want. I would love you guys for ever and ever and ever if you do!

Thanks a Million!!

Erin if you are looking for more formal data, i believe there have been some studies done showing bite inhibition, severity of dog bites and age the dog was seperated from littermates as a puppy. generally it has been found that dogs seperated from their litter mates before age 8-12wks generally are more mouthy/bitey towards people than dogs left with their littermates for an additional few weeks.

Erin--interesting survey! I filled out 3, one for each of my last 2 Future Leader Dog puppies, and one for my current pet. I did add some comments on my pet--because there are so many training protocols and philosophies, I found it limiting to have to choose from totally positive to totally negative. But, since that was not a "required" question, it might not matter to your survey. Please let us know how you do!

I understand, the training part isn't as big of a deal, I just wanted to know if there was training and which side it leaned MORE towards.. I didn't want to get in too deep on something that really wasn't where I'm going with this. Thanks!

Really? Do you know where I could find that at all?

Hi Erin, I filled in my answers, but I'm not sure how to submit them...do I just click like I do for a comment??

I thought there was a reference to something in one of the articles in the APDT Chronicles of the Dog, but I can't seem to find it in my issues or on a net search. If I come across it again I'll pass it on.
