3-Months-Old

We've officially hit the three month mark! Its been fun to get to know this little guys personality over the past month. This is also the day we turn in his three month eval. Yaay. Can't you just "hear" the excitement? :)

This week, Pompei's learned:

• How to get into the car - (A KONG filled with Kibble aided this process)
• How to get on the couch..but not really how to get back off again... (Thanks Texas :( )
• Screaming in the crate, really doesn't get what you want..(I thought we'd moved passed this already!)
• Jump up and their might be something good in the humans hand.
• When you don't want to walk, just lay down! (If the situation permits, I just walk off and leave him, and he'll come trotting after me)
• Barking is Fun

His official nickname is Monkey Man. He already is thinking for himself, and seeing what things he can get into. He's a very complient puppy, but still has to try things a couple of times, before aquisesing to my wishes. For instance, he figured out how to get on the couch this week, the first time, he just sat there, as he couldn't figure out how to get back off. Once I got him down, he didn't try it again for a couple of days. Thursday he realized the the dog bed, provided a great stepping stool to get from the floor to the couch; He got on.... I asked him to get "off" and "threw a party" when he hopped down quickly. A few seconds later he was back on..."Off Pompei" "Gooood YaaY!"...and repeat.  It took about three times before he decided not to do it again, or go distracted.

He's also a very vocal puppy, and has no qualms about letting me know when he's "upset" or needs to go outside, with whining or a bark or two. So far we've scared two people because of his sudden outbursts. :) Gotta love puppies.

He's getting the hang of leash walking, and he's not offering to pull much just yet. We're planning to keep that at a minimal. yay!

I leave you with three things about my silly puppy:

1. Doesn't mind the vacuumn cleaner 
2. Loooooooves Bones
3. Loves to cuddle. (In my house...if I get on the floor there is a rush for my lap. :D)
