SCARY!!
Midnight has had a traumatic morning...all the result of wandering teeth...lol.
We have a yard at work which we call the small dog yard, where the puppies can run off all the steam they want without bothering the bigger dogs. And in the small dog yard some of the wall was coming off, and the pups thought it a great new chew toy. So in order to keep them from that one of my co-workers set a X-pen...??? against the wall spread out so that the whole wall was blocked of from prying teeth.
And that was that...we went on about our business in peace. Until we heard this horrible screeching coming from that yard. We all dropped what we were doing and ran into the yard. Midnight was over by the pen caught on something and screaming her head off. i ran into the yard first and held her still until we could figure out what the problem was.
At first we thought it was her collar was caught on something and some grabbed scissors; but my manager was able to get the collar of no problem, and she was still screaming and struggling.
By this time I had one half of her in my arms, and one of my fellow workers had the other half, trying to keep her still. All this while I'm trying not to look to hard as images of blood dripping all over the place came to mind.
Finally we realized she was hooked on a carabeener; and some one got it off the gate. And thats when we realize it was hooked in her mouth. We were finally able to get her still enough to get it off; And she hopped out of my arms ready to play again!
So yes she's fine. No Blood or anything my guess is that she was chewing on it and it opened and got caught in her mouth.
I forgot to explain something...The caribiner was hooked to the X-Pen because we use it to attach the pens to the kennel runs; so that the dogs don't knock it over. Because the x-pen was free standing the carbiners were availible to any willing teeth. Soo....Maybe she learned from this.....who knows.
BUts she's alright and that what matters....
